Experience yoga postures with the support of our yoga rope wall. The wall ropes provide support, traction, balance and leverage in a full range of poses. Learning the Ropes workshops are open to students who have completed at least one 8-week session of Iyengar Yoga classes.
Saturdays, 1:00-3:30 pm

Karen will share knowledge, insights and approaches to practice learned during her month of study at Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India.
Yoga for Anxiety with Julie Tamarkin
Chronic worry and stress influence our mental and physical wellbeing. Join us to work with poses and breathing practices that release tension, soothe the nervous system, and settle the mind.
Sequences for Home Practice with Karen Allgire
Learn to develop a home yoga practice. Learn yoga sequences of various lengths that you can do on your own. Handouts will be included to guide your regular home practice.
Inversions: Beginning and Beyond with Amy Runnels
Learn the basic principles of inverted poses and modifications to address your individual needs. Build confidence and move beyond fear in these highly beneficial postures. Open to students with 3 months of Iyengar Yoga experience. Students should not be menstruating, or have neck injuries.
Freeing the Lower Back with Karen Allgire
Experience ease and mobility in your lower back. Maintain a healthy back through relaxation and a balance of flexibility and strength.

This gentle yoga class is designed for those who wish to move at a moderate pace. Whether you are new to yoga or getting back into shape after time off, this class will provide progressive learning of postures with a gentle approach, using a chair and other props for support.
This class is for students of all ages and conditions – yoga is for everyone!
Make up policy: Missed Gentle Chair Yoga classes can be made up in any Level 1 class. Classes must be made up by one week after the last class of a 6-week series.
