Experience yoga postures with the support of our yoga rope wall. The wall ropes provide support, traction, balance and leverage in a full range of poses. Learning the Ropes workshops are open to students who have completed at least one 8-week session of Iyengar Yoga classes.

The Art of Balance with Karen Allgire
Improved balance brings poise, confidence and evenness of mind. This class will explore various postures that challenge and enhance our ability to balance. We will also consider how yoga can enhance how we balance work and play, effort and ease, and emotional highs and lows.
Functional Feet with Karen Allgire
With the tools of yoga, your feet can become more stable, mobile and relaxed. Learn to develop awareness, strength and flexibility in the feet. Functional feet will help you improve grounding, balance and alignment of the whole body in yoga poses and in life.
Yoga Sequences for Home Practice
The heart of yoga lies in the art of personal practice. Learn yoga sequences of various lengths that you can practice at home. Handouts will be included so you can practice the sequences regularly.
Freeing the Hips with Karen Allgire
Explore various yoga poses to experience a full range of movement possibilities in the hips. Mobile, strong hips can improve balance, and support a healthy lower back and bring ease and freedom to your whole body.
Introduction to Pranayama with Julie Tamarkin
Pranayama is the subtle art of yogic breathing. This class will introduce beginners to breathing practices, while also providing a review of fundamentals for those with experience of pranayama. Open to students who have taken at least six months of Iyengar Yoga classes.

This gentle yoga class is designed for those who wish to move at a slower pace. Whether you are new to yoga or getting back into shape after time off, this class will provide progressive learning of postures with a gentle approach, using a chair and other props for support.
This class is for students of all ages and conditions – yoga is for everyone!
Make up policy: Missed Gentle Chair Yoga classes can be made up in any Level 1 class. Classes must be made up by one week after the last class of a 6-week series.
