Experience yoga postures with the support of our yoga rope wall. The wall ropes provide support, traction, balance and leverage in a full range of poses. Learning the Ropes workshops are open to students who have completed at least one 8-week session of Iyengar Yoga classes.

Going Sideways: Poses of Lateral Extension with Karen Allgire
January 21
The side bending poses, known as lateral extensions, teach us to open the rib cage and lengthen the muscles of the trunk from the armpits to the hips. Experience mobility of your spine, freedom in your breath, and many other benefits by learning to move to the side. Open to all levels.

Building Bone Density thorugh Yoga with Karen Allgire
February 11
Yoga can help build bone density, especially through the“closed chain” weight bearing that yoga poses utilize. Learn how to keep your bones strong by bearing your own weight in yoga postures.

Healthy Neck and Shoulders with Karen Allgire
April 1
Learn adapted yoga postures and prop uses that bring comfort, mobility and balance to the upper body. This workshop will help you release chronic tension from these areas and discover new possibilities for a balance of strength and freedom. 

Gentle Chair Yoga with Colleen Clark

6-week sessions:

$72 for 6-class series, $15 for drop ins

This gentle yoga class is designed for those who wish to move at a slower pace. Whether you are new to yoga or getting back into shape after time off, this class will provide progressive learning of postures with a gentle approach, using a chair and other props for support.

This class is for students of all ages and conditions - yoga is for everyone!

Make up policy: Missed classes can be made up within seven weeks of the first class of a 6 week series in any Level 1 class.
