Experience yoga postures with the support of our yoga rope wall. The wall ropes provide support, traction, balance and leverage in a full range of poses. Learning the Ropes workshops are open to students who have completed at least one 8-week session of Iyengar Yoga classes.

Healthy Neck and Shoulders with Karen Allgire
April 1
Learn adapted yoga postures and prop uses that bring comfort, mobility and balance to the upper body. This workshop will help you release chronic tension from these areas and discover new possibilities for a balance of strength and freedom.

Core Support through Yoga with Karen Allgire

Learn to access the layers of abdominal muscles and the deep postural muscles that lie behind the abdominal organs. Lumbar/abdominal poses help improve posture, promote good digestion, alleviate back problems and bring healthy circulation to the entire abdominal region.

Freeing the Lower Back with Karen Allgire

Iyengar Yoga offers numerous adapted asana techniques to alleviate lower back pain. Experience ease and mobility in your lower back. Maintain a healthy back through relaxation and a balance of flexibility and strength.

The Pelvic Floor: A Workshop for Women with Colleen Clark

Too many women deal with the embarrassment and annoyance of “leaking.” Learn to strengthen the pelvic floor with delicate and sensitive actions - exercises that are the opposite of "Kegels." You'll be amazed at how effective they are! Based on the work of senior Iyengar Yoga teacher Jackie Nett.

The Art of Balance with Karen Allgire

Improved balance brings poise, confidence and evenness of mind. This class will explore various postures that challenge and enhance our ability to balance. We will also consider how yoga can enhance how we balance work and play, effort and ease, and emotional highs and lows.

$72 for 6-class series, $15 for drop ins

This gentle yoga class is designed for those who wish to move at a slower pace. Whether you are new to yoga or getting back into shape after time off, this class will provide progressive learning of postures with a gentle approach, using a chair and other props for support.

This class is for students of all ages and conditions - yoga is for everyone!

Make up policy: Missed Gentle Chair Yoga classes can be made up in any Level 1 class. Classes must be made up by one week after the last class of a 6-week series.
