Green Tara Yoga is currently open only for online classes. We will keep you posted about our reopening date.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new registration and payment platform, PunchPass
You can now view our schedule and register for classes on our new Schedule/Registration page. It will take a few minutes to initially set up and confirm your account, complete your student profile and do a waiver. But from that point on, it will be easy to purchase a pass and reserve your place in classes. Please feel free to Contact Us if you have any questions about getting registered for classes.

Iyengar Yoga Association of the Midwest (IYAMW) presents Fall Fest: Celebrating Iyengar Yoga, Supporting Our Communities
These classes are FREE for IYNAUS members, and donations are more than welcome. $20 suggested donation for non-members. All proceeds from these classes to local, community organizations chosen by our volunteer teachers. See the full list of Fall Fest classes

Flowing Through Our Obstacles: Fluidity & Lightness Through Yoga with Karen Allgire
Sunday, October 25, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm Eastern Standard Time

As part of the IYAMW Fall Fest, Karen will teach this workshop on using yoga to work skillfully and joyfully through all circumstances of life. We will work with the water element to promote fluidity and vitality, the air element to nurture mobility and lightness, and the space element to enhance adaptability and open-mindedness.
All proceed’s from Karen’s’ class will go to the YWCA of Greater Cleveland, supporting their work to empower women and eliminate racism.

Online Yoga Resources for You

The powerful teachings of yoga can be deeply supportive to all of us at this stressful time. We hope you will try our online class, and develop a daily home yoga practice. Inversions and restorative poses are both important, as they support the immune system and quiet the nervous system. As we face this enormous challenge, may we all remain calm, mindful, compassionate and wise.

Taking A Stand for Equality and Justice
Green Tara Yoga & Healing Arts  takes an unequivocal stance against racism and injustice, and for learning how to be a better ally to all people fighting for positive change. As a studio dedicated to Iyengar Yoga, all of our teachers and many of our students are members of the Iyengar Yoga Association of the United States (IYNAUS). We want to share some excepts from a message members received from IYNAUS.

“We pledge to do our part, to take the necessary steps to increase diversity and become more equitable and inclusive. We want to build a community where all of our members, and potential members, feel valued and have a sense of belonging. We will work within our community and we will partner with subject matter experts to listen, learn, and do the work needed to evaluate our current structures, regional associations, policies and practices.”

We recommend that you arrive early to allow time for parking. We do not recommend parking at Dave’s Market as you could be towed. You may find a space in the lot directly behind the building. Other options include:
✥ The upper lot accessible by a ramp at the back of the main lot
✥ Metered spots on Fairmount Boulevard
✥ Free parking on Grandview, the street adjacent to Dave’s Market
✥ The metered lot behind Firestone Tires on Cedar Road
✥ The public garage behind Starbucks on Cedar Road

Apprentice Program with Karen Allgire
Level 3 Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) Karen Allgire offers an apprentice program for those interested in deepening their study of yoga. Apprentices must have three years of Iyengar Yoga study and be able to make a yearlong commitment to the program. For prerequisites, requirements, costs and other details, contact Karen.
